About the author
Growing up in East London, Kathryn White started reading when she was four. After school she studied advertising and worked at a top agency before pursuing a career as a freelancer working in advertising and journalism. This of course also allows her time for writing novels. A citizen of the metropolis of Johannesburg, Kathryn debuts with Emily Green and Me at age twenty-seven.

Kathryn White says
"I buy the You magazine as my secret indulgence – often I hide it under my groceries in the trolley – but it really is a great magazine because it is honest and the content is original. I read an excerpt about a lady who got a new heart and started craving green peppers, loved motorbikes... She found out these were characteristics of the boy whose heart she had received. This particular transplant story is a very well documented case study and I have read up on it and loved this story for ever. I did research on cellular memory and transplants and even tried to become a volunteer at Milpark Hospital."
