About the compilers and designer: Karen Jeynes is a 26-year-old writer, director, producer and stage manager tending towards comedy. Her many plays for the stage include the multi award-winning Everybody Else (is Fucking Perfect), in addition to which she has adapted, written or co-written several works for radio. Karen is co-author of two teenage novels and she teaches scriptwriting and conducts writing workshops around Cape Town where she lives with her husband and two sons. Karen says she’s had far too much fun working on FAB with Eric Miller, Marius Roux and the "fabulous people at Umuzi". Eric Miller is one of the most widely published photojournalists in South Africa. In the 1980s he documented the struggle against apartheid. Since the 1990s he has covered the broad sweeps of the transformation process in South Africa and travelled extensively across Africa on assignments for major European publications and international NGOs. Eric has long marvelled at the wonderful images emerging from the MCQP and at how these have opened new ground by challenging the visual stereotypes of the city’s "peoplescapes". Marius Roux, an avid MCQP-goer and freelance graphic designer (mr design), has been working in the publishing and design industry for almost as long as MCQP exists. Having been a designer for MCQP for two years, he has first-hand knowledge of the making of a party.
