About the author Chris Marnewick is a senior advocate practising in Durban. He wrote on litigation skills and has taught the subject in both New Zeeland and South Africa. His first book of fiction, Shepherds & Butchers, was longlisted for the Sunday Times Fiction Prize, and shortlisted for the M-Net Literary Award, the M-Net Film Award, and the Commonwealth Writer's Prize First Book, Africa Region.
